Ice-skating 1st trial~
FridayHad quite a shock in the morning when Daniel arrives at my house at 7.40am! It was totally unexpected! While waiting for the time to go to school, we sang songs and I guess I am getting the hang of it :) Had our breakfast in school together even though breakfast was brought from home and soon I was left alone to do my own work while waiting for my lecture to start.coincidentally, Olivia wore the same red ice-skating polo t-shirt as me and while waiting for my lecture she walked past so we talk a little before I go for my lesson. Somehow the lessons were very long today even though its only 4 hours. Business Law and IFA, after attending a week of lectures, I felt the pressure. The taxes and laws Singapore is having and how minor the part we are now only studying. It kinda freak me out and its just difficult to concentrate throughout the entire lecture! Lunch break at 1pm and remembering that I had forgotten to bring my complimentary ticket for ice-skating, I had to skip my lunch. Had settled down to do my tutorials at the atirum when Daniel finally replied. Hestitated on meeting him but eventually still went la.. hahaz..IFA, luckily still got the GLOW there sia, thought they won't be there... was starting to think what should I do if I was gonna be alone for the entire day of Fridays already lo. On the way to the rink, met Jiayi who was going to work and I did not went to eat with GLOW because they alighted at IMM! Communication breakdown despite of us all having passed OCOM! hahaz.. So went rink without my dinner!As usual, had difficulties when I just entered the rink and it took quite long for me to warm up. Freshies started complaining as they do not know that we starting at 7.30pm. Oh well, managed to pull it off somehow in the end. After resurface of ice, everyone was gathered at the corner of the rink and it turned out that there are about 60 people! Woo! They were split into groups and us seniors were to teach them~ I had to teach 8 people and there was 4gals and 4 guys. Don really remember all their names...perhaps only Yew Jia, Zhi Min or something like that... the rest forgot le :P Yew Jia was had phobia of falling but by the end of the session she is able to move and enjoy :) Was having quite a hard time persuading her not to hold on to anything or anyone ~ the guys all knew how to skate relatively so it was pretty easy and they learnt forward, backward swizzle, normal skating and they don wan learn already... they felt it was more than enuf.. hahaz... ok lo ... so they went practicing.. Girls although was having quite a hard time but their courage brought them far .... all managed to skate in the end :) happy happy~Thought that could be some organisation to debrief the new comers but apparantly there isn't really anything much and were just trying to shout out to the crowd which the people at the back cannot really hear... oh well~Time for Condrey's lesson! was good and bad. Good because I did my jumps! bunny hop and waltz~ very basic but its like finally for me la... now to get my spins.....and edges.......argh....bad was because oh well... lotsa unhappy faces...Must really say that I kinda enjoyed this session despite the tension. Went home straight after ice so that I could rest early for the next day's competition but in the end I am now still blogging partly because I am eating my dinner at 12am!Sleeping soon right after my apple pie~ see ya~!
